The combination of youthful enthusiasm, angst, occasional dissonance, cheap electronic devices, tight trousers, high-heeled boots, and the kind of energy you most often associate with blind devotion, is what makes these tracks and collections shine. Names like the Canterbury Fair, Trojans of Evol, The What's New, Apperson Jackrabbit, Topsy Turbys, Glass Candle and many others with as equally inventive monikers contribute one or two magical cuts apiece.
